How I've Grown My Plant Collection with FREE PLANTS: Plant Hack for Growing Large, (Free) Plants
This week I realized that 33% of my plant collection is FREE. Like F R E E and that's because of one practice that I've consistently used over my last 3 years of plant parenthood. I like to call it "Prop and Pot" and today I show you the plants that I got as tiny cuttings, their before shots and the huge plants they've grown into (and they various ways I've helped (or watched) them grow. I hope you use this method as a way to grow large, free plants in your home by propagating and be patient! Propagating plants has been such a fun way for me to get curious about plant care, learn how plants grow practice patience :) Timestamps: 2:46 Prop and Plant technique 3:33 My Very First Monstera and how it was 5 unfenestrated leaves and now is a large plant with fenestrations! 4:13 Prop and plant technique going from 4 leaves to an 8 inch pot 6:03 Monstera peru from @Nick Pileggi which was two leaves and now has grown to a trailing plant (and my plants to continuing proping and planting) 6:45 Prop and Plant technique with unrooted cuttings 8:55 Raffi my Raphidophora tetrasperma and his journey of being a small cutting gifted to me from a plant friend and the large plant I can barely control now! 11:30 Leslie Halleck's IG Live (will update with this link when my IG is back online) 12:38 Kalanchoe Copper Spoon and the Prop and Plant directly into soil technique 13:45 Ctenanthe that started out as a TINY adorable cutting that has grown into a FULL 6 inch pot (and my mushy thoughts about garden/life parallels) Let me know in the comments a story about a special cutting you have!
